Installation instructions
SmartStart location
SmartStart QR code's location as follows: The SmartStart label and QR code can be found on the interior cover of the lock. It is located by the battery compartment and is accessible by sliding up and removing the window on the interior of the lock.
For classic inclusion, initiate the process to add the lock to your system at your smart home controller. When prompted by your smart home system to add the lock, press button 'A' on the lock interior one time. The red LED will illuminate when the lock enters inclusion mode. If successful, re-name the lock in your system. If unsuccessful, follow your system's instruction to remove the lock from the network, press button 'A' one time to remove, and then repeat the process.
Follow your smart home system's instructions to remove the lock from the network. When prompted by the system, press button 'A' on the lock interior once.
A wake-up procedure is not necessary. The lock is a always listening sleeping device.
Factory reset 10 Button Z-Wave Plus v2 Deadbolt
NOTICE: A factory reset will delete all user codes associated with the lock as well as removing it from your smart home system.
1. Remove the battery pack
2. Press and HOLD the program button while reinserting the battery pack.
3. Continue to hold the button for 30 seconds until the lock beeps and the status LED flashes red.
4. Press the program button once more. The LEDs will cycle flashing between red and green while the reset process is being performed.
5. When complete, the lock will reset and initiate the door handing process.
For enhanced security, a MasterCode may be used in order to protect local user code maintenance, as well as other configuration settings.
