Overview
The RS-ZWIREX1 supports learning and repeating IR signals.
The RS-ZWIREX1 also has a temperature and humidity sensor.
The RS-ZWIREX1 is a security enabled Z-Wave Plus Product.
This device must be used in conjunction with a Security Enabled Z-Wave Controller in order to fully utilize all implemented functions.
The RS-ZWIREX1 supports the standard security S0 and S2.
Security
As a Z-Wave Plus certified product, Z-Wave Smart IR Repeater supports Z-Wave S2 security. The following security modes are directly supported:
- S2 Unauthenticated

Installation instructions
To add or include the RS-ZWIREX1 into a Z-Wave network using Z-wave Learn mode button
1. Set the controller in inclusion mode
2. Push the Learn mode button once
3. Wait about 15 seconds
To remove or exclude the RS-ZWIREX1 into a Z-Wave network
1. Set the controller in exclusion mode
2. Push Z-Wave Learn mode button once
3. Wait about 5 seconds.
Factory reset Z-Wave Smart IR Repeater
The RS-ZWIREX1 can be set to factory settings by pushing Z-wave Learn mode button for 5 seconds.
Please use this procedure only when the primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
